Playing
How do I start a match?
Tap Scan table sticker on your Passport and hold your phone near the sticker on the table. Your first tap of the day also checks you in. When your opponent taps the same sticker, you both press Start match within 2 minutes.
The sticker doesn't work on my phone
Ask the player waiting at the table to show their join code, then tap Scan code on your Passport and scan it. athiv checks that you're at the club, so allow location when asked.
How long does the table wait?
5 minutes. Scan the sticker again to restart the 5 minutes. Leave table frees the table and keeps you checked in.
The wrong person joined my table
Tap Not my opponent. They're removed and you keep the table.
How do I play doubles?
Tap the rating circle on your Passport to switch to Doubles. All four players tap the sticker, the first player sets the pairs, and all four press Start match.
When am I checked out?
Tap Check out on your Passport when you leave. Otherwise everyone is checked out at 11:59 pm, except players still in a match, who are checked out once the result is entered.
Results
How do I enter the result?
After the match, tap Enter result and enter every game's score: best of 5, first to 11, win by 2. If a player has to stop, tap “A player retired?”. The scores so far are kept and the other side wins. Then tap Submit for approval.
How long can a match last?
You get a reminder after 60 minutes, and the table opens for others after 90 minutes. You can still enter the result up to 24 hours after the start.
My opponent hasn't approved yet
They have 24 hours. After that the result goes to the club admin, who decides it.
The result is wrong
Tap Dispute instead of Approve and say what's wrong. The club admin where you played decides: they can approve it, correct the score or void the match.
Someone's name is rude, or their results look fake
Tap their name (on Who's here, the rankings or a match), then the small flag beside it. The club admins and athiv will look at it. Club admins won't see who reported.
Ratings
How are ratings worked out?
Win and your rating goes up, lose and it goes down. Beating a stronger player earns more. Singles and doubles each have their own rating.
Your account
Can I change my name?
Yes, from Menu, Settings, Name. You can change it once every 30 days. Club admins can see your previous names.
Can I change my home club?
Yes, from Menu, Settings, Home club. You can change it once every 3 months.
Can I get a copy of my data?
Yes. Email us at [email protected].
Delete your account
In the app: open Menu, then Settings, then Delete account, and confirm. If you're in a match, finish or leave it first.
Can't open the app? Email [email protected] from the email address you sign in with and ask us to delete your account. We'll delete it within 21 days and reply to confirm.
What's deleted: your name, email, home club, check-ins and any club admin role. If you never played a match, your whole account is removed.
What stays: your past match results stay in other players' history as "Former player" with the last four digits of your player number, because their ratings depend on them. A scrambled code made from your email is kept with your last ratings for 12 months, so your ratings come back if you sign up again. Privacy Policy
